How rePTSD
will work
This is how online treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is planned to work once rePTSD opens. You will agree each step before it happens. Nothing on this page can be started yet. If you need help now, call 999 (112 in Ireland) or Samaritans free on 116 123.

Tell us what you want to change
You will send a short request about what you want to change in your life today. A therapist Rephobia Limited has approved for PTSD will read it before anything is booked.
What the request asks you to share is still being written, and a qualified clinician will review it before rePTSD opens. You will decide whether any offer suits you.

Meet your therapist online
Your first appointment will be by video, from a place you choose. Your therapist will explain what treatment involves before you agree to anything. Assessment is part of that conversation.
Before you book, you will see the therapist’s name, profession and a short introduction, and you will choose the time. Booking a first appointment will not commit either of you to more.

A conversation with a therapist, online. Agree a plan together
After the first appointment, your therapist can propose a treatment plan. It goes ahead only once you agree it, and any change needs your agreement again.
Your therapist will adjust the pace with you, and you can stop at any point.
A plan you agree together
- A goal that matters to you
- An approach your therapist explains
- Steps you agree before they happen
- Regular reviews
Review and choose the next step
You and your therapist will look at what has changed and decide what comes next.
Your care workspace will keep your plan and appointments together, and you will book each further appointment separately.

Time to notice what changed before the next appointment.
What happens before rePTSD opens
rePTSD stays closed until therapists who work with PTSD have joined. Rephobia Limited reviews each therapist’s professional details, and approval for PTSD is separate from any approval for phobias.
A qualified clinician will review the information on this site, and the rules for approving therapists, before rePTSD opens.
Until then, the Opening soon page lists where to get help today.

Where to get help today
The Opening soon page starts with what to do if you need help now. It also covers your options across the UK and Ireland, and tells you about Rephobia, our sister service for phobias.
This site asks for no details about you.
